Coaches Clinic
Friday, August 6th at Oregon Trail Elementary
This is a mandatory clinic for all recreational coaches. You will receive your rosters, equipment bags, lesson plans and will be able to sign up for practice schedules.
U5-U7 Coaches Clinic: 6 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
U8 and above Coaches Clinic: 7:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

The 23 Most Important Things You Should Know About Being a CUSC Player:
- Always play fair and by the rules
- Maintain diginity under difficult situations
- Always lend support and encouragement to your teammates.
- Always play your hardest and your best in practice and in games.
- Whether you win or lose, always demonstrate respect for your coaches, teammates, opponents, and the game.
- A good soccer player must display conditioning, skills, and tactical knowledge.
- The team that has the ball is the offense; the team that doesn't have the ball is the defense.
- Regardless of the position you play, you need to know all the skills of a soccer player.
- Never aimlessly kick the ball unless you need to get it away from in front of your goal. Always know where you are sending the ball.
- Always maintain your position on the field, regardless of what is happening around you.
- If you run forward when your team has possession, you will need to run back when the other team has possession.
- The person who loses the ball is the first to defend and give immediate chase.
- When you shift from offense to defense, sprint to get between your opponent and the goal.
- If you are defending, support your goalie.
- Pass the ball before you get into trouble, not after.
- Allways move the ball a good distance when you kick it.
- If you have the opportunity to shoot, TAKE IT!
- Most players are right footed, so watch for attacks from the right.
- Develop your skills with both feet.
- Always try to maintain possession of the ball.
- When your teammate has the ball, support them by being open for a pass.
- No matter the outcome of the game, if you have given 100%, be proud of yourself!
- Don't limit yourself, you can do it!!
