CROSSFIRE OR 2014 U11 & U12 BOYS Summer Opportunities
U11 BOYS:

Beginning in the Summer of 2014 Crossfire Oregon is excited to bring a new opportunity for our boys U11 players. We will run a Summer Academy where SSC, WUSC, LOSC, OCSC, and CUSC players will be able to train amongst one another in a competitive training environment focused on developing their physical, psychological, tactical, and technical skills.

The Summer Academy will consist of 8 sessions. Sessions will be held on Friday evenings from 6:30-8 and Saturday mornings from 9:30-11 and have been set so as to not conflict with existing team commitments. It is important to understand that these sessions are planned for the serious soccer player looking to get ‘more’ soccer.

During the Academy we will select one team of players to enter the THUSC Tournament June 27-29. For the Summer of 2014 the THUSC Tournament will act as the qualifier for the Northwest Champions League (NWCL). The NWCL is a regional based competition involving teams from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. If the team qualifies fir the NWCL there will be one travel trip to Seattle. As this is the first year we are doing this we are only planning on putting one team together to qualify for the NWCL. We will look to form a team with up to 14 players.

For more information please go to: http://www.northwestchampions.com

After participation in the THUSC Tournament the selected team will attend the Crossfire Premier Soccer Tournament in Seattle WA – July 18-21. That U11 team will represent Crossfire Oregon in the U11 age bracket and play 9v9. As this is the first year we are only planning on sending one team to Seattle.

Training dates: May 30, and 31. June 6, 7, 20 and 21, July 11 and 12.

Times: Friday nights 6:30-8:00pm, Saturday mornings 9:30-11am.

Location: All Academy sessions will take place at Athey Creek Middle School.

The cost for the eight Summer Academy training sessions: $150

Training uniforms: Crossfire Oregon dri-fit training tops are required for the Summer Academy. These will be available at Tursi’s Soccer Store. Black socks and black shorts are also needed. All gear must be Nike.

There will be an additional cost for those players selected for the tournament team in Seattle and we anticipate that being in the region of: $335

If the team qualifies for the Northwest Champions League competition there will be an additional cost to play in the NWCL. This cost is will be approximately $350 and will require an overnight trip to Seattle sometime during the fall.

These competitions are designed so they don’t conflict with your current club teams schedules.

The Summer Academy training sessions will consist of experienced coaches from all member clubs. The coaches for the tournament team for the THUSC and Crossfire Premier tournaments will be Mike Iacolucci and Ryan Callahan. Crossfire Oregon Boys Director of Coaching Jim Brazeau will oversee the program.

Players will wear Crossfire Oregon uniforms provided by Crossfire Oregon and these will need to be returned after the event.

To register for the Crossfire Oregon Summer Academy please go to our website: www.crossfireoregon.com and look under Summer Academy.
