Winter Academy is back!


We’re excited to announce that our popular Winter Academy program is back for the 2026/27 winter season.

Please note: Financial aid is not available for Winter Academy.


Players from outside CUSC are welcome to join! Please invite your friends and teammates from other clubs to come train with us this winter.


Every registration includes a FREE CUSC beanie! Beanies will be handed out to players on the first night of Winter Academy. If your player misses the first night, they can pick up their beanie at the next session they attend.


Winter Academy Details
📅 Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
📍 Location: Nelson Sports Complex at Adrienne C. Nelson High School
⏰ Time: 6:00–7:15 PM
⚽ Eligibility: 2nd–8th Grade — Boys & Girls

Dates
November 30th
December 2nd, 7th, 9th, 14th & 16th
January 4th, 6th, 11th & 13th

Players may be separated by gender and age to provide the best training experience.


About Winter Academy

Winter Academy is a great opportunity for players of all skill levels to keep improving during the off-season. Players will train with experienced coaches and focus on skill development and getting as many touches as possible each session.


Each session will include 4–5 rotating skill stations covering areas such as:

  • First Touch
  • Passing
  • Shooting
  • Technical Skills

Each night will have a different theme designed to help players become more complete and confident.


Winter Academy FAQ

Do I need to attend every session?

No! Attend as many sessions as your schedule allows. This flexible program is great for players balancing other sports and activities.

Do we play in all weather?

Yes, unless the temperature drops below 32°F or there is snow or lightning.

If a session is canceled, do we receive a refund?

No. Refunds are not issued for sessions canceled due to weather or facility conditions.

What should my player wear and bring?

  • Dress in layers and label all items.
  • Shin guards are required.
  • Bring a water bottle.
  • Bring an appropriately sized soccer ball with your name on it.

Can my child train with friends?

We’ll do our best to group friends together while making sure each player is in an environment that supports development and fun.

Can siblings be in the same group?

Groups are formed based on age and skill level.
